Quality / Function

With the Tierpfoten-Aluminet Original 80% you have heat protection at the highest level! You can get the nets from us in various widths and lengths as desired (almost anything is possible, even custom-made items not listed). Contact us for more information.
The shade net offers 80% shade. It reflects the sun and keeps the heat away. Heat build-up is prevented by the wind permeability of the material. This makes the summer heat more bearable for your dog. However, an Aluminet is no substitute for supervising dogs in hot weather in the car!

Dimensions

Roll width recommendations:

• 3.20m: Low cars / station wagons
• 3.50m: Medium-high SUVs (e.g. Dacia Duster)
• 3.80m: High SUVs and buses
• 7.60m: XXL nets for covering dog runs, seats, etc. (available from desired length 6m, if you want a lower desired length, please contact us)

Info on using the very small desired lengths:

• Lengths 1.5-2.2m are suitable for dog crate covers
• Lengths from 3m are suitable for vehicle covers (more on this in the next point)

How to measure? / Example car types

The windshield should definitely be covered, so start measuring on the hood (about 20cm below the windshield). Then up over the windshield, over the roof of the car, over the open tailgate and back down to bumper height (this way the dogs have enough privacy).
If you want the hood to be covered as well, measure that too ;) The hood does not necessarily have to be covered.

A few car brand examples (Important: When used with the tailgate open and without the hood completely covered):
Skoda Octavia, Volvo, other longer station wagons: 5-5.5m (roll width 3.2 would be sufficient, if you want more coverage in width 3.50m)
Dacia Duster: 5m (roll width 3.5m)
Rexton: 5.5m (roll width 3.5-3.8m)
Nissan X-Trail: 5.5m (roll width 3.5-3.8m)
Mercedes V-Class Compact / Vito: 6m x 3.8m (photo in the gallery)
Mercedes Vito long: 7m x 3.8m (in the gallery is the short Mercedes bus, which is about 56cm shorter than the Vito long)
Motorhome: 8m x 3.8m

!!! TIP !!!!
Our box privacy nets are an ideal addition to the Aluminet car cover. These can be used as privacy screens so that air can still circulate. Of course, they keep the car cool, as they are installed inside the car, but they do not allow heat to build up when the tailgate is open and provide privacy.

Accessories / Other

The Aluminet 80% has a very high-quality knitted pattern with a very fine structure. Our nets also have no eyelets to protect your car from scratches.
We offer the following accessories for mounting:

• Magnets with clamping spring (we have installed our own reinforced magnets)
• Extra strong magnets with bone carabiner (screw serves as handle, strongest magnet version!)
• Clamps (for narrow spaces)

Aluminet B-stock

You will also occasionally find B-stock nets in a separate album. We offer these at a discount. These are, for example, nets with small cosmetic defects, which are occasionally found, as we purchase the material from large rolls and check it before processing. The functionality is not affected by the B-stock.
