In addition to the protective features, the padded (fully lined) search dog harness has an integrated identification blanket with the reflective transfer foil (noble silver lettering) "Suchhund".
It is individually adjustable in the neck and chest area and two snap buckles ensure easy entry.
The harness is designed to ergonomically adapt to the dog's body, creating an optimal distribution of tension that protects your dog's back.
The prerequisite for this is that the leash is only hooked onto the leash ring provided for this purpose.
We generally advise against hooking the leash's carabiner to one of the other, front rings, as this will cause the harness to warp and the webbing to become more susceptible to wear.
The wraparound straps in the chest area, thanks to the long underbust bar, create a comfortable distance from the front legs, thus protecting the armpits. At the smallest setting, the straps are fully padded with breathable foam, which is edged with a highly abrasion-resistant material.
Care instructions
We recommend machine washing at 30°C on a gentle cycle, low spin speed (800 revolutions), low drum load, no fabric softener, a laundry bag and no dryer.
Please do not place the dishes on the heater to dry!
STFI
Annyx harnesses have been tested multiple times by the Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI). STFI is a non-profit research institution that tests traditional textile technologies as well as innovative, unconventional solutions for a wide range of applications at an international level.
For abdominal, neck, and back straps, the first step was to test the tensile strength of a harness in new condition. The second step was to test the tensile strength of a harness after six months of practical testing and four washes. Maximum tensile forces between 1500 (153 kg) and 3000 (305 kg) Newtons were applied.
The harnesses can withstand a pulling force of at least 1500 Newtons (153 kg).
Example:
If an imaginary dog weighing 90kg could accelerate to 40 km/h within 1 second, it would develop a force of 990 Newtons…!
Although the load limits for the used harness are reduced, they are still far above the strength that a dog could develop independently within the radius of the leash or tow line.
